Impact Sound Transmission Loss
Impact Sound Transmission Loss may be measured in the field in accordance with ISO 140-7 and ASTM E989-89 to:
- Determine the impact sound isolation of a tile underlay system compared to other products, or bare concrete, for a given concrete floor/ceiling structure, or
- To confirm compliance with BCA requirements using a tapping machine
